Class Description

This class will offer experiential practices that deepen analysis and expand strategies for social change, based on the values of justice and inclusion, in schools, homes, and communities. Participants will connect with each other, and discuss how we can make a positive impact to diminish entrenched societal biases. Together we will explore issues of awareness, belonging, and how to converse across lines of difference in diverse settings. New, research‐based paths to understanding, action rooted in the value of justice for all, and sources of hope will be explored as well. Asking the question, “where is open?” for each one of us, across our different lived experiences, will prompt us to see, know, and treasure each student authentically.
