Men of Excellence

This is a two-part series. Participants are expected to attend both sessions.
This workshop is open to anyone who identifies as male.

In this highly interactive workshop, co-leaders Carlton and Kris will facilitate a discussion on issues of identity, empowerment, and activism. How do young men committed to social justice issues hone their leadership skills, step forward to organize in their communities, make change in their spheres of influence, and inspire others to join them in the struggle? What are the pitfalls? What are the rewards? How can young men working hard in marginalized communities support one another to fight discouragement, burn-out, isolation, and despair? These and other questions will be tackled in this two-part workshop series. Come with an open mind and heart and examples from your own life. Feel free to bring any projects you are currently working to receive feedback from the group.
