Sojourner Truth School for Social Change Leadership

Non-Muslims often struggle with how to be an effective ally to members of the Muslim community. Lack of understanding about the faith, self-consciousness about what to say and not say, how and when to intervene, and stumbling over respectful terminology all hinder well-meaning allies from speaking up or acting in partnership with Muslims. This workshop will be highly participatory, free of judgment, and filled with concrete ways to support the Muslim community. Come with questions, an open heart and mind, and engage with facilitator Tahirah and others striving to hone their skills as an ally.
