Sojourner Truth School for Social Change Leadership

This workshop will go over the essential pieces of putting together a powerful grassroots campaign: how to clarify your goal, how to identify key decision-makers, how to choose your action steps, and how to follow through. We will focus on a local climate/environmental justice campaign as we explain the key skills and practices, then support you in applying those same principles to an issue you are passionate about. You will get the most out of this workshop if you come ready with a campaign idea to discuss, but we will also have examples ready for those who don’t know where to start. Folks of all organizing experience levels and interests are welcome; this content is great for getting started in advocacy and also a powerful refresher! Our vision is to build our collective skills and to strengthen the bonds of community as we engage in this challenging and essential work.
