Sojourner Truth School for Social Change Leadership

The concept of “white supremacy” is too often reduced to the more obvious and repugnant expressions and beliefs emblematic of white nationalist like the Nazis in Germany or the Ku Klux Klan in the USA. Rarely are the contemporary social, economic, and political systems that sustain disparate realities and conditions between white and BIPOC communities or between global west and global south countries considered white supremacy. This workshop will deconstruct the common ground of communication that side steps this issue. It will demonstrate how the global order enforced through state and international institutions reflect an obscured and legitimized white supremacy and neo-colonialism.
