Sojourner Truth School for Social Change Leadership

Together Tom and Andrea have decades of experience talking about race, teaching about race, writing about race, and living with the effects of racism. Tom, Andrea, and guests will share in a conversation about what they have learned over the many years they have been organizing, facilitating cross-race dialogues, leading workshops, and speaking publicly on these issues. Each facilitator will speak to "the heart of the matter" – what is most essential in what they have learned over the years and the arc of anti-racism work as they imagine it extending into the future. These facilitators will share openly about their successes and failures confronting racism. After their opening reflections, they will invite their guests to share thoughts and reactions to what has been said. Then, the floor will be open to a free-flowing and honest discussion about these important issues. Join us for this shared discussion, we welcome your presence and voice.
